I saw this on Beauty Broadcast and it looked quite entertaining. I feel as though I must explain my absence both here and on YouTube. You're probably aware that I'm in my last year of high school (cause I won't shut up about it) so I've been really busy with that. And since the new 'season' just started I've been swamped with homework and band practice. I'm sure you're all going through the same thing!<br />
<b>1. Name a beauty regime you rarely do.</b><br />
I never fuss with my hair it's either straight or in a pony tail most of the time. And on a hair note; I never use heat protectant.<br />
<b>2. Is washing your makeup brushes something you do regularly?</b><br />
Let's be honest. Who actually washes their makeup brushes when they're supposed to? I suppose some people do, and I know I should, but it's too time consuming. Most of the time when I think a brush is too dirty to keep washing I'll just avoid until it can be washed. But that means once these back up brushes are dirty I have<i> a lot</i> to clean.<br />
<b>3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?</b><br />
I rarely paint my fingernails. Mainly because I'm so bad at it but also because I bite my nails. When it comes to my toes, I usually get them done and let it all chip off and then replace it with a different color. The only time I keep up with having my toenails nicely painted is summer cause I don't like just my plain toes so I try to make them look nicer while you can see them. Once winter rolls around and my toes are all tucked into some shoes I don't pay attention to them much.<br />
<strong style="background-color: white; line-height: 22px;">4. How long will you put off buying/replacing a beauty product, even if you need it?</strong><br />
<span style="line-height: 22px;">When it comes to beauty products, I tend to replace something </span><i style="line-height: 22px;">before </i><span style="line-height: 22px;"> I need it. But when it comes to deodorant (omg this sounds awful) I somehow always forget when I run out. It's one of those things that's so automatic and lasts pretty long that you don't notice when you run out. I suppose this doesn't necessarily answer the question, though. It's not something I put off, I just forget.</span><br />
<strong style="background-color: white; line-height: 22px;">5. What is your worst beauty habit?</strong><br />
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 22px;">I've bitten my nails for as long as I can remember. I seem to recall sitting in the backseat of the car as my dad was driving me to gymnastics one day and I noticed he was chewing on his nails. I'm pretty sure that's where I picked it up.</span><br />
<strong style="background-color: white; line-height: 22px;">6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?</strong><br />
<span style="line-height: 22px;">Right now I'm supposed to be reading Hamlet for English class...</span><br />
<strong style="background-color: white; line-height: 22px;">7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready to the last minute?</strong><br />
<span style="line-height: 22px;">Never, actually. Most of the time I'm ready way before I have to leave to go somewhere because I hate being late!</span><br />
<strong style="background-color: white; line-height: 22px;">8. Can you commit to spending bans?</strong><br />
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 22px;">For the most part. I find it hard to do things like "spending bans" because it's usually when you end up running out of things you need.</span><br />
<strong style="background-color: white; line-height: 22px;">9. How organized is your make-up and nail polish collections?</strong><br />
<span style="line-height: 22px;">It depends on the day of the week.... I like it organized but that doesn't mean it <i>stays</i> organized. </span><br />
<span style="line-height: 22px;">I had lots of fun doing this so I tag all you lovelies to do it too! </span><br />

Hello all! Welcome back to my blog!<br />
I understand it's been a while, and this is not beauty/fashion related. But hey, it is my blog and I thought I give a little update on... well - me!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Three weeks ago I began my last year of high school. I've found it more difficult then usual to get back into routine, and I think it's just because I had such a great summer. I also just feel tired of the whole school thing; I want to get out and go see the world! Anyways, Grade 12 really makes you think. I don't think I've ever thought about my past so much. All the changes I've gone through and all the people I've met. There's so much growing you do in your life and it's crazy to think that there's more to come.<br />
Looking at the year ahead of me is ridiculous too. I'm going to be graduating this year! It's my last year seeing my good friends everyday, and being in band! If one thing is for sure I'll be crying more on my last music night then graduation day!<br />
On top of that I'm going to (finally) be 17 soon! Late Birthday-ers; I feel your pain!<br />
Anyways, I thought I take myself - and my followers - on a trip down Memory Lane.<br />

<div>
No?</div>
<div>
Yeah, me either.</div>
<div>
But really, I have been SO OBSESSED with The Mortal Instruments series. in the course of August I've flown through the first four books in the six-part series. I'm currently dying to know what's gonna happen in book five but I'm trying to let everything sink in first. to help myself out I made another tumblr blog (I dare you to try and find me) to help myself deal with the amazing-ness. Also, I'm dying to see the movie which recently came out where I live and I'm hoping to see it before I go back to school.</div>
<div>
If you aren't subscribed to my youtube channel you may not know much about this series so here's the 411. (does anyone actually say that anymore?)</div>
<div>
Basically the first book of The Mortal Instruments series - City of Bones - starts off with a girl named Clary and her friend Simon. They're at a night club and things start to seem very strange when Clary sees a group of people but no one else seems to notice. She learns that these people are shadowhunters and when her mom disappears she learns that there's a lot more to her life then she thought.</div>
<div>
I'd definitely recommend it if you love sci-fi/fantasy books.</div>
<div>
I want to know if you've read this series and what you thought of it - no spoilers though! I'm not done the whole series yet!</div>
<div>
I'm hoping that the lst two books will get me through the next month cause I have to go back... to school. DUN <i>DUN <b>DUN</b></i></div>
<div>
It's not that I hate school, it's just that I don't exactly enjoy it all that much. I don't enjoy getting up early, I don't enjoy annoying people (let's be honest though, they're everywhere), I don't enjoy homework.</div>
<div>
My advice to myself is to stop thinking of all the stuff I hate and focus on the things I enjoy about it. I like having a better social life, I like learning new things, I like being in the school band. </div>
<div>
But let's be honest, it isn't working out the greatest. </div>
<div>
I've actually been getting some request down on youtube to talk about what I plan on doing after high school. I think I might because it's been quite the difficult time for me and I think it might help some people out if I did a video on it. To be honest, I'm actually not that sure what I want to do after high school yet. But I'm working on it.</div>
<div>
If one thing is for sure out of all of this, I couldn't be any happier to get rid of this sweltering heat. It has been so completely humid and muggy where I live all summer and I can't wait to be able to wear my UGGS and comfy sweaters because I am <i>not</i> a shorts-wearing person. Also some perks of fall; Pumpkin Spice Lattes and my birthday!<br />
And now for the haul. The haul of all hauls... a Wal-Mart haul! *intense music plays*<br />
Okay, maybe it's not that exciting but I thought I'd share it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8H-tdtBWl-8/UiFZdW-e5dI/AAAAAAAAA3s/XWoL4jzIkDE/s1600/IMG_0253.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8H-tdtBWl-8/UiFZdW-e5dI/AAAAAAAAA3s/XWoL4jzIkDE/s400/IMG_0253.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
I've tired this mascara before, and I really did enjoy it. But for a while I could only find the black satin formula which I didn't like at all. But since I haven't used it in a while I thought I'd pick it up again.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-k_nYuCDey1k/UiFZcgVbQBI/AAAAAAAAA3k/JP3q9z7NuuY/s1600/IMG_0261.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-k_nYuCDey1k/UiFZcgVbQBI/AAAAAAAAA3k/JP3q9z7NuuY/s400/IMG_0261.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-23Im7LoaQdw/UiFZcFp_a6I/AAAAAAAAA3c/n5iqHFEoJV8/s1600/nyc.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="268" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-23Im7LoaQdw/UiFZcFp_a6I/AAAAAAAAA3c/n5iqHFEoJV8/s400/nyc.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
The products above and below are products I've heard a lot about! I've tried the NYC bronzer before (thanks to my sister) and I think it looks pretty good with my fair skin tone. It's not the most pigmented, but I don't consider that much of a down fall since I'm so pale. The Maybelline Age Rewind Undereye Concealer is something I've been wanted to try for a while because my dark circles are really bad and since school is coming I needed something extra.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The last question - do you always look presentable? - made me rant a little about how a lot of girls in the beauty community have been making back to school videos of outfits that aren't exactly practical to wear to school. So as I'm uploading it I went straight to the internet to put together outfits that I would personally wear to school and I thought I'd share it with you.<br />
<div>
Obviously this is my own style and won't apply to everyone and everything is optional. I also decided not to put in any brands unless I thought the specific piece was a good price because I want you to be able to find your own stuff and put your own style to it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nTs9-L6kRrc/UhZXb9itD0I/AAAAAAAAA24/hBe7v4oKt-8/s1600/Back+to+School+Outfit+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nTs9-L6kRrc/UhZXb9itD0I/AAAAAAAAA24/hBe7v4oKt-8/s1600/Back+to+School+Outfit+1.JPG" /></a></div>
<div>
I think a scarf is a great accessory to play up any outfit and make it different. Open sweaters and cardigans are also a staple in my wardrobe because they're great for cooler days, and you can throw it over a tank top to make it more appropriate for school. Leopard print flats are also great because they add some extra pattern to an outfit and consist of neutral colors that can go with almost anything.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0ZIjsySOE_8/UhZXbmzAzbI/AAAAAAAAA28/em2WNJzBQoM/s1600/Back+to+School+Outfit+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0ZIjsySOE_8/UhZXbmzAzbI/AAAAAAAAA28/em2WNJzBQoM/s1600/Back+to+School+Outfit+2.JPG" /></a></div>
<div>
Obviously this outfit is based around the military jacket. I think if you wanted it to be more of a focal point you could ditch the necklace and/or earrings. When choosing the shirt I initially picked one with black stripes. But after I wanted the shoes to be red I went with navy stripes. I think blue and red tie in really nicely together as you remember from the nautical trend. Lastly, I picked the cuffed jeans to add a little more detail on the bottom so it would be balanced with the jacket. (I found this jacket on old navy's website; only $40 for a great jacket!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zHLOtTVC8qg/UhZXcXn-aAI/AAAAAAAAA3M/hzGqGnXr05s/s1600/Back+to+School+Outfit+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zHLOtTVC8qg/UhZXcXn-aAI/AAAAAAAAA3M/hzGqGnXr05s/s1600/Back+to+School+Outfit+3.JPG" /></a></div>
<div>
One of my favorite things to wear to school are v-neck sweaters and black leggings. This pair is comfy, cute, <i>and</i> flattering! Black is slimming as well as v-necks. To dress this up a bit I added a floral scarf, awesome boots and this cute studded watch (which is only $10 at Charlotte Russe!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YSjg96EhlC8/UhZXclnWo8I/AAAAAAAAA3Q/KRGOIxiXc1Q/s1600/Back+to+School+Outfit+4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YSjg96EhlC8/UhZXclnWo8I/AAAAAAAAA3Q/KRGOIxiXc1Q/s1600/Back+to+School+Outfit+4.JPG" /></a></div>
<div>
This outfit is for lazy days. The cropped jeans are basically if you want to rule out the sweater when it's a warmer day, and if you want to be more lazy, you can replace them with leggings. I saw this cardigan and fell in love with the pattern and the style, so I knew I had to use it. The only thing is that looking for something like this can be really hard and they always come out expensive. Graphic tees are always cheap and easy to find at places like Target and Wal-Mart. As for the moccasins; they can get destroyed really fast, so I'd recommend waiting until Payless brings some out or go hunting at Target or Wal-Mart. Buying expensive moccasins is NOT worth it!</div>
<div>
Anyways, let me know what outfits you'll be wearing for this coming school year and what you're looking forward to for fall! (I'm definitely excited for Pumpkin spice Lattes!)</div>

So I decided to humor her and tag along. Recently, my mall has been remodeling and adding in tons of popular stores. In order to get away from the crowds, I've hung back a while and haven't been in quite some time. Let's just say it looked <i>very </i>different and the whole time I was just pointed out how weird it was and my sister kept exclaiming that she couldn't believe I thought it was weird cause "it's been like that for a while!"</span><br>
<span style="font-size: large;">Anyways, we hit a lot of stores because I am in desperate need of new clothes for back school but what I came out with was 3 wall flower scents and a scarf... not exactly what I'd gone into the mall for, but I came out a happy shopper anyways.</span><br>
<span style="font-size: large;">First off, let's talk about these new fall scents B&BW has released cause <i>holy moly </i>they're all amazing!</span><br>
<span style="font-size: large;">When we first walked in and started smelling candles, I picked up the <a href="http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=21689076&cp=12586994.12936203.23357766" target="_blank">Harvest Coffee Mason Jar Candle</a> and went on a hunt to find this in a wall flower; it smelled so delicious! Unfortunately they don't make this scent in a wall flower and I was very disappointed. I did not buy the candle but now i really want to go back and get it because it just smelled so delicious! </span><br>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lHU2wB6lwMA/UhQunBdEFCI/AAAAAAAAA2U/6nYVo-FDl1U/s1600/IMG_0164.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><span style="font-size: large;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lHU2wB6lwMA/UhQunBdEFCI/AAAAAAAAA2U/6nYVo-FDl1U/s320/IMG_0164.JPG" width="304"></span></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;">Anyways, after some disappointment, the first scent I had to grab was <a href="http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=21714986&cp=12586994.22937806.23917676" target="_blank">Pumpkin Caramel Latte</a>. The website describes this as <i>creamy pumpkin, spiced caramel, and sweet cream</i>; sounds super yummy, right?! Basically it smells like a caramel latte with a hint of spice to it; kinda like Starbucks in the fall!</span><br>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9AlHKjb-aew/UhQuniJhtdI/AAAAAAAAA2c/SIJtiyCBDkY/s1600/IMG_0159.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-size: large;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9AlHKjb-aew/UhQuniJhtdI/AAAAAAAAA2c/SIJtiyCBDkY/s320/IMG_0159.JPG" width="320"></span></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;">The next one I grabbed was <a href="http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=21715036" target="_blank">Blueberry Pumpkin Patch</a>. Sounds weird, huh? When smelling them, I knew my sister didn't find it her favorite and when we got home my mom didn't exactly enjoy it either, but I love it! The website describes it as <span style="background-color: white; line-height: 15px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><i>Blueberries fresh from the farm are the perfect match for ripe pumpkins in this delicious autumn blend. </i>Doesn't exactly describe the scent, so I'll give it a go; it's sort of like blueberry pie with a kick of spice in it.</span></span></span><br>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sFn27YerKvg/UhQunaotDMI/AAAAAAAAA2g/jDVJ2LBWiSA/s1600/IMG_0161.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><span style="font-size: large;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sFn27YerKvg/UhQunaotDMI/AAAAAAAAA2g/jDVJ2LBWiSA/s320/IMG_0161.JPG" width="297"></span></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: 15px;">Last </span></span><i style="font-family: inherit; line-height: 15px;">but certainly not least</i><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: 15px;"> is <a href="http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=22472946" target="_blank">Bergamot Woods</a>. (If I were filming a video my next </span></span><span style="line-height: 15px;">sentence</span><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: 15px;"> would be: </span></span><i style="font-family: inherit; line-height: 15px;">is that how you pronounce it? I don't know.) </i><span style="font-family: inherit; line-height: 15px;">Anyways, this scent just may be my favorite because it smells like - wait for it - a man. Yes, you read that right. It seriously smells like a man ready to go out on a date. The B&BW website describes it as </span></span><span style="background-color: white;"><i><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: 15px;">An aromatic woodsy blend, highlighted by bright bergamot, fresh </span></span><span style="line-height: 15px;">lavender</span><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: 15px;"> and deep green cypress. </span></span></i><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: 15px;">Now isn't that what you want your man to smell like? I sure do!</span></span></span></span><br>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 15px;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: large;">The last thing I bought on our little trip to the mall was during a quick stop at Spring. I saw this scarf hanging and immediately fell in love with the colors; plus I've been wanting an infinity scarf for a while.<a href="http://www.callitspring.com/ca-eng/accessories/womens/hats-scarves" target="_blank"> Spring had lots of awesome scarves</a>, so if you've been looking for a great way to play up your look check 'em out!</span></span><br>
<span style="font-size: large; line-height: 15px;"><a href="http://www.callitspring.com/ca-eng/accessories/womens/hats-scarves/96786617-vavrousek/35" target="_blank">(this one is the vevrousek if you're curious)</a> I'm not ususally one to go for the whole cross trend, but I just loved the colors and had to have this scarf! Plus, when you have it on, you can't really tell that they're crosses.</span><br>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-size: large;">What's the last thing you bought?</span><br>
<span style="font-size: large;">x Emily</span>Emily Hayshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14917799637499561428noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7029789066282071928.post-88821291506892923322013-08-18T11:02:00.000-07:002013-08-18T11:03:08.436-07:00My Hair Donation<span style="font-size: large;">Many of you - my lovely followers - may be aware of the fact that over a year ago I decided I would donate my hair! After the long process of growing it out, on April 6th, 2013, I cut off 8 inches! Yes. That's how long it took to grow out a healthy 8-inches of hair. My hair is very fine and breaks and splits very easily - I tried to get trims around every 3-4 months. May I mention I hadn't had my hair this short in over 3 years?!</span><br />
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-HI2B2JcNJs8/Ug73kn6zChI/AAAAAAAAA0w/0EV6bwRUaQo/s640/blogger-image-1076352617.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-size: large;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-HI2B2JcNJs8/Ug73kn6zChI/AAAAAAAAA0w/0EV6bwRUaQo/s640/blogger-image-1076352617.jpg" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-size: large;">It was quite a scary decision. I grew very attached to my hair while growing it out, and very addicted to doing french braids down my back. I hadn't even planned on cutting it all off that day; it was just supposed to be a trim! But it did teach me that being <span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">spontaneous (something I am <i>never</i>) can be a good thing. I do have to admit though, there was a lot of hesitation before it was cut off, and a lot of "<i>its so short</i>"'s afterward. It took a lot of getting used to; but I'm finally truly embracing it. And honestly, having such long hair was a PAIN. It's grown about two inches since then, and I think I finally found the right shampoo to use with it; which has made a big difference. </span></span></div>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); font-size: large;">Let's talk about why I love it being shorter:</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); font-size: large;">1. It takes less time to do in the morning</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); font-size: large;">2. It doesn't get tangled as easily (and its easier to de-tangle)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); font-size: large;">3. I go through less shampoo, conditioner, and hair product in general</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); font-size: large;">4. My natural color is all growing in</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); font-size: large;">5. It dries faster (naturally and with a blow dryer) </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); font-size: x-small;"></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); font-size: x-small;"></span></div>
<br />
<div class="" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Now; the big question. <i>Emily, what organization did you donate to?</i></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">I'm going to be honest and say that I originally was going to donate to Locks of Love but I didn't cut enough off to fit the criteria, and if I'd known about it sooner I'd do the whole #hairforhazel thing happening now. </span>I went with the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program. Which gives hair to specifically women who've lost their hair. </span></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BDo4SBh2OZ0/Ug-gL5nFFfI/AAAAAAAAA1U/_u9H9IXTHkc/s1600/1000009_10200394252960991_1018620465_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><span style="font-size: large;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BDo4SBh2OZ0/Ug-gL5nFFfI/AAAAAAAAA1U/_u9H9IXTHkc/s320/1000009_10200394252960991_1018620465_n.jpg" width="320" /></span></a><span style="font-size: large;">The timing couldn't have been more perfect; I ended up sending away my hair on the 17th anniversary (August 2, 1996) of my aunt passing away to breast cancer. You heard that right - 17 years - the age I will be turning in November. Hence why my middle name is Deborah, my aunts name. Obviously I never knew her but I've heard about how great a women she was and so I donated my hair in her memory along with the memory of my cousin Amanda, who passed when she (and I) was just 12 of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2009. She actually passed 5 days before my birthday, and it was the same illness my grandmother passed away from in 2010. (Her name was Jean which Amanda was named after as her middle name was Jean - so many connections!)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); font-size: x-small;">sorry for the story time - didn't expect this blogpost to turn into that. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); font-size: large;">But this is a happy post because some brave, beautiful women is gonna get that hair I grew out! It makes me feel so good inside to know that. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); font-size: large;">So what products have I been using?</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-l6_iKAQAmys/Ug-dtOysekI/AAAAAAAAA1I/TWTpwEsir5c/s1600/IMG_0142.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-size: large;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-l6_iKAQAmys/Ug-dtOysekI/AAAAAAAAA1I/TWTpwEsir5c/s320/IMG_0142.JPG" width="240" /></span></a><span style="font-size: large;">When I first cut my hair, I was using the Pantene Aqua Light Shampoo and Conditioner. I thought it was working really great; it didn't have any extra chemicals in it, it just left my hair feeling normal. But after a while I noticed that it just left my hair natural. And my natural hair tends to be very frizzy and poofy. Although, I am glad I went with that shampoo in the first place because it felt really nice to just cleanse my hair and give it a fresh start. But once those bottles were empty, I switched to the Head and Shoulders Smooth & Silky shampoo and conditioner and I like it much better! My hair is much more smooth and easier to work with. Head and Shoulders is obviously a brand that helps with dandruff, etc. and I find that it does help with flaking, but my scalp still feels itchy and a little dry from time to time. I've also gone back to using my Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Split-End Protector just to keep my ends in check now that my hair is getting longer. Tip: just because your hair is shorter, doesn't mean you still can't get things like split ends and breakage.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); font-size: medium;">The verdict? I will definitely donate my hair again if it ever gets long enough. But I think before I do it again, I'm gonna have fun doing different things to it!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; font-size: medium;">x Emily</span></div>

I decided they were too amazing to not share with my beautiful followers! I went to the Paradise Fears Battle Scars Release Tour on saturday, so i'll share that with you first.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">When buying the tickets, we had a choice of getting regular tickets or VIP. We decided on the VIP which included a Meet & Greet before the show and we got to watch sound check. I loved that we got all the perks but the Meet & Greet was cut a little short and we didn't get pictures with all the members of the band because of it. I think this happened because they showed up a little late - maybe trouble getting across the boarder. We made shirts to wear to this concert and the band really loved them. Concert advice of this post: make your own shirts; the band really appreciates them!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> When we made these shirts we bought the black t-shirts at Michael's and then traced out the cut we wanted with chalk and turned them into tank tops. Then we each got a color of dimensional fabric paint. The fabric paint was a good idea because once it sets for the indicated time on the bottle, we can wash them. We bought silver sharpies to get the band to sign the back, so obviously we can't wash them after that, so mine is now tacked up on my wall.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WMT5a53CTRM/UguzKOkY4nI/AAAAAAAAAyU/9ZlJYJkf3wg/s1600/1005480_10201766153661793_1948242389_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-size: large;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WMT5a53CTRM/UguzKOkY4nI/AAAAAAAAAyU/9ZlJYJkf3wg/s640/1005480_10201766153661793_1948242389_n.jpg" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">There are 6 members in Paradise Fears, and like I said, we didn't get pictures with all of them. But the VIP was worth it because we got in early to see the soundcheck, which means better spots during the concert (aka closer to the band and their beautiful faces!). The band (and all the opening bands, which were awesome!) came outside of the venue after the concert to get pictures. Which is when I'm grateful of meet and greets because although we were rushed by their manager, there was more time to talk because they weren't surrounded by so many people.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RWSu9c_JmzU/UguzEg_g1CI/AAAAAAAAAyM/nAnfyADGaQE/s1600/PicMonkey+Collage.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-size: large;"><img border="0" height="427" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RWSu9c_JmzU/UguzEg_g1CI/AAAAAAAAAyM/nAnfyADGaQE/s640/PicMonkey+Collage.jpg" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;">Okay, now we can talk about the We The Kings Summer Fest Tour. This tour consisted of a lot more popular bands, which meant lots of people, and since bands don't come to Canada often, a sold out show. So I got up at 9am and we left around 11 and spent the whole day in line. My sister, friend Nicole, and her sister, Shawna decided they wanted Meet & Greet for The Ready Set, so they got early entry and got a good spot in the crowd, while me and our friend Carlin stayed in line. The thing we wanted the most was We The Kings Meet & Greet (obviously) so when Carlin and I got inside we got the Meet & Greets right away. And can I mention how lucky we got? There were only about 25 Meet & Greet wristbands and we managed to grab 5!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">The crowd got pretty squishy, and during Breathe Carolina, pretty <i>crazy.</i> I'd been in worse crowds, but it's still not the best feeling to be pushed around by sweaty bodies. I don't want to sound too whiny though, cause Breathe Carolina put on a great show! And Keep it Cute, The Ready Set and TMills!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Also, Corey Vidal came to the show and we got to meet him and the ApprenticeEh crew! They're such awesome people, so super nice, and put up a great conversation! We told Corey how excited we are for Vlogumentary and how good the trailer was. He told how emotional everyone got while they filmed Alli's interview - which is partly shown in the trailer.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-He1tS35XutI/Ugu-nX9m1QI/AAAAAAAAAy0/7QRxow6k8rw/s1600/PicMonkey+Collage+.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-size: large;"><img border="0" height="232" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-He1tS35XutI/Ugu-nX9m1QI/AAAAAAAAAy0/7QRxow6k8rw/s640/PicMonkey+Collage+.jpg" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">We made shirts again for this concert! We modeled the front after The Tampa Bay Rays logo, since they're from Tampa. And since five of us went we were able to keep with the jersey theme and chose one of the memeber and put their last name on the back. After watch the CTFxC vlogs and the We The Kings video diaries we tried to match the numbers of the basketball jerseys they own. This time, we bought a pack of white men's t-shirts from Wal-Mart and again, cut them to the style we wanted. Shawna and I sewed our sleeves to make them into tank tops, which I liked because they felt more sturdy. Everyone else just cut theirs. We used acrylic paint for the shirts this time (which meant no washing the shirts). It made more sense because we used more colors. They got pretty stretched out during the concert, but I definitely liked the fabric better; it was a lot more comfortable. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">The guys <i>loved</i> the shirts; they were excited about us having their names on them. Which was exciting for us cause we worked so hard on them! Travis even wanted a picture on his phone!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

And then I look over and see that the answer was right in front of me. I've been re-reading on of my favorite books recently and figured I'd tell you lovelies what my favorite books are!<br />
The one I'm reading right now is by<a href="http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/2936493.Lauren_Oliver" target="_blank"> Lauren Oliver</a>. It's called <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6482837-before-i-fall" target="_blank">Before I Fall</a>. I've had this book for a while and this is about the third time I've read it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2fvm3yJR3UM/UggdW2Dfe0I/AAAAAAAAAxg/qO62JLWi46c/s1600/IMG_2621.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2fvm3yJR3UM/UggdW2Dfe0I/AAAAAAAAAxg/qO62JLWi46c/s320/IMG_2621.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Before I Fall is about a girl named Samantha Kingston (or Sam for short). She's a senior in high school and has three best friends, two parents and a little sister. Throughout the book you're constantly finding more and more about her life. But the big twist on this book is that it starts the day she dies and she forced to keep reliving the same day. This book consists of 470 pages. And it's all full of the secrets and stories of her life. You meet all her friends and find out about them also, along the way. It's really an amazing book that I'd recommend to anyone starting high school or in high school because it really shows all the dynamics that take place there. I'm not just specifically recommending this book to teenagers because of mature subject matter (it's definitely PG-13) but because it contains a message that I think is really great for a teenager to know.<br />
Lauren Oliver is one of my favorite YA writers, and I read this before her Delirium trilogy came out - which consists of a world where love is a disease (also great books).<br />
This next book is one I've only read once, but it was very recent and once I finished I knew it was immediately part of my favorites list. After reading <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11870085-the-fault-in-our-stars" target="_blank">The Fault in Our Stars</a> I wanted to run right out and read another <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/1406384.John_Green" target="_blank">John Green</a> book.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hdHgP7YsjvQ/UgggdfH7NEI/AAAAAAAAAxs/6tcnW83060Q/s1600/IMG_1839.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hdHgP7YsjvQ/UgggdfH7NEI/AAAAAAAAAxs/6tcnW83060Q/s320/IMG_1839.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I'm sure you've all heard of this book by now, since it's being made into a movie (and if you haven't heard of John Green what are you doing with your life?!). This book is inspiring and awful and beautiful all at the same time (plus, I cried like 5 times).The Fault in Our Stars is centered around Hazel Grace who is battling a terminal cancer despite the medicine she's been given to stop her tumors from growing. One day in her support group she meets a boy by the name of Augustus Waters who had his leg amputated because of Osteosarcoma. Here's my review for this book on Goodreads: <i><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19px;">John Green points out all the obvious and brilliant things in our every day lives that we don't notice often. This book is life-changing. I feel like I see things a lot differently. Hazel Grace is the strongest head I've been inside (and not just because she's battling cancer); she's one to hold her own on any opinion, having cancer stops her from doing some things, but not quite everything. Meeting August doesn't change her; it makes her better.</span><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19px;"> </span></span></i><span style="line-height: 19px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><i style="font-size: 14px;">A MUST READ! I'd recommended to basically anyone. Even someone who doesn't necessarily like reading. </i><span style="font-family: inherit;">Basically that's all I have to say about it. It's just a great book.</span></span></span><br />
<span style="line-height: 19px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">This next book is also one I've only read once, and it was a while ago. But when I started think of the books I was going to write about here, I knew this had to be one of them and now I want to read it again! You may have seen the movie, in which case: read the book it's so much better. This book is <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/2345.Nicholas_Sparks" target="_blank">Nicholas Sparks'</a>, <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6400090-the-last-song" target="_blank">The Last Song.</a></span></span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-s274gYRNd50/UggjD9JsEnI/AAAAAAAAAx8/9T6gyagHHYI/s1600/IMG_2784%5B1%5D.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-s274gYRNd50/UggjD9JsEnI/AAAAAAAAAx8/9T6gyagHHYI/s320/IMG_2784%5B1%5D.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="line-height: 19px;">Since I haven't read it in a while, I'm just going off what I remember to help explain why I love this book so much. This book is about Veronica Miller (but people call her Ronnie), her parents are divorced and she's not very close with her father. So her mother decides to send Ronnie to live with her father for a summer in Wilmington. Since this is a Nicholas Sparks book, obviously she eventually meets Will, and other events unfold in the little beach town of Wilmington. My favorite part about this book (excluding the love of course) is seeing the drama between Ronnie and her dad about music. He is a former concert pianist and she seemed to be following in his footsteps until her parents got divorced. I'd specifically recommend this to teenagers because Ronnie is a typical teenager, but I did read this book and grade 8 and enjoyed it a lot. This book also made me cry like a baby for reason I cannot say unless you want a spoiler!</span><br />
<span style="line-height: 19px;">I rated all these books 5 stars and Goodread and they all have a home on my favorites shelf there.<a href="http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/6995336-emily" target="_blank"> You can add me as a friend on Goodreads to see all my shelves and know when I post a review or see what books I'm currently reading!</a> </span><br />
<span style="line-height: 19px;">I also just finished The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones but I felt like I couldn't put it in this post since I read it so recently. </span><br />
<span style="line-height: 19px;">What are your favorite books?</span><br />
<span style="line-height: 19px;">x Emily</span><br />

Me being me, I have <i>tons</i> of posters in my room. If you ask me why I really couldn't give you a reason, it just looks fun to me, I guess. Before, I had at least one poster on each wall, but a couple weeks ago I decided to change it up. And that resulted in this</div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-7_2n4CrifrY/Ufm1PzaHkII/AAAAAAAAAxE/R3Yy6cq-7KI/s640/blogger-image-131108540.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="297" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-7_2n4CrifrY/Ufm1PzaHkII/AAAAAAAAAxE/R3Yy6cq-7KI/s400/blogger-image-131108540.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I just clumped everything into this corner in my room. I actually really enjoy the way it looks. Some would find it to look cluttered, but I like everything together.</div>
<div>
There was a con to all of this: my green wall looked terribly bare.</div>
<div>
So the first thing I did was extended the posters through the corner so some were also on the green wall. My cork board was also looking a little full, so I kept all my tickets but moved the pictures to my wall.</div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-0-3JiRBQln0/Ufm1RQgf_zI/AAAAAAAAAxM/eex1nHPoP-o/s640/blogger-image--1575818348.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="299" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-0-3JiRBQln0/Ufm1RQgf_zI/AAAAAAAAAxM/eex1nHPoP-o/s400/blogger-image--1575818348.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-KY4Ce_68Wy4/Ufm1Nt0MkHI/AAAAAAAAAw0/tMhFxZGT12M/s640/blogger-image-1294031772.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="299" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-KY4Ce_68Wy4/Ufm1Nt0MkHI/AAAAAAAAAw0/tMhFxZGT12M/s400/blogger-image-1294031772.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
Not only did this wall photo collage make more room on my cork board but now I also have a bunch of wall space to fit more pictures!</div>
<div>
Now for the other side of my green wall I decides to do this</div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-GgBWN480GhI/Ufm1OiC8-lI/AAAAAAAAAw8/A4Byeu0WJ2U/s640/blogger-image--1115173888.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="299" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-GgBWN480GhI/Ufm1OiC8-lI/AAAAAAAAAw8/A4Byeu0WJ2U/s400/blogger-image--1115173888.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I did this around midnight. Which was around the time I had this sudden urge to re-arrange my posters. Anyways, this is one of my favorite quotes! I wanted to do a different one but it was a lot longer. And this took long enough! Also, construction paper and a knack of drawing block letters (which I obviously don't have). </div>
<div>
Basically, i think someone's bedroom should reflect their personality at all times, and sometimes that means making some changes! </div>
<div>
In other news:</div>
<div>
I can't believe tomorrow is the start of august! In september I'll be starting my last year of high school :(</div>
<div>

This is filled with mainly lip products, but there is also a few little bits (hence the title of this post).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-J_kaRFlAYvs/UeOOwzf5tWI/AAAAAAAAAuU/uX6C6NvHxw0/s1600/DSCN3237.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-J_kaRFlAYvs/UeOOwzf5tWI/AAAAAAAAAuU/uX6C6NvHxw0/s400/DSCN3237.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
First we have three lipsticks.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
As you can tell, I'm someone that goes more for warm peach-tones, rather then cool blue-tones.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aHlOU4x6zsM/UeOP7BPTtAI/AAAAAAAAAvk/XCIpiKIDTJ4/s1600/PicMonkey+Collage13_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="318" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aHlOU4x6zsM/UeOP7BPTtAI/AAAAAAAAAvk/XCIpiKIDTJ4/s400/PicMonkey+Collage13_.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/shaded/168/310/Products/Lips/Lipstick/Lipstick/index.tmpl" target="_blank">MAC's lipsticks</a> are some of my favorites! They have a really creamy texture, and they smell AMAZING. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hue is one that I tend to pick up a lot. I find that it really looks good with my skin tone. It's sort of a nude-peach color. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Angel is a lipstick I've heard many people rave about. I'd have to agree that it may look good on just about any skin tone. It's your typical neutral pink.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Chanel isn't something I usually buy. But while in NYC a couple summers ago, my mom got me a lipstick while we were in Bloomingdales. These <a href="http://www.chanel.com/en_CA/fragrance-beauty/Makeup-Lipsticks-ROUGE-COCO-SHINE-121637" target="_blank">Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks</a> are amazing! They have a really nice creamy texture (much like MAC's lipsticks) and have a great shine to them. It's almost like wearing a non-sticky, more moisturizing, lipgloss! Evasion is sort of like MAC's Hue, but has more pigment to it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ffGqoeQfMNU/UeOP4nT1aRI/AAAAAAAAAvQ/5dh_JGkGD-Y/s1600/PicMonkey+Collage7_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="397" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ffGqoeQfMNU/UeOP4nT1aRI/AAAAAAAAAvQ/5dh_JGkGD-Y/s400/PicMonkey+Collage7_.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The <a href="http://www.sephora.com/sugar-lip-treatment-spf-15-P57002?skuId=1448372" target="_blank">Fresh SUGAR Lip Treatments</a> are one of my favorites! They're super moisturizing and smell great. They also have SPF 15! Swatched above is the <a href="http://www.sephora.com/sugar-lip-treatment-spf-15-P57002?skuId=1448372" target="_blank">Rose tinted</a> one; which is a very similar color to Benetint. I got these two minis on my birthday last year at Sephora for free. I'm not how I feel about dishing out $30 CAD for this when I'm done, though. I feel like another lip balm could treat me just the same. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9GELqKB88z0/UfLgJ4EL8MI/AAAAAAAAAv0/xSlBo29ZkAI/s1600/PicMonkey+Collage10.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="206" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9GELqKB88z0/UfLgJ4EL8MI/AAAAAAAAAv0/xSlBo29ZkAI/s400/PicMonkey+Collage10.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm sure you all recognize this beauty! The <a href="http://evolutionofsmooth.ca/smooth-sphere-lip-balm-2721-html/smooth-spheres-can/summer-fruit-smooth-sphere-lip-balm-2469.html" target="_blank">EOS Lip Balm in SummerFrui</a>t. I won't talk much about this, but it's something I use very often, and I have a back up hanging around cause it's so awesome! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-h5Q7jefeupI/UfLgUQO8P4I/AAAAAAAAAwg/qYBY8UIBLes/s1600/PicMonkey+Collage9_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="397" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-h5Q7jefeupI/UfLgUQO8P4I/AAAAAAAAAwg/qYBY8UIBLes/s400/PicMonkey+Collage9_.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The <a href="http://www.sephora.com/lip-gloss-P2862?skuId=809673" target="_blank">NARS Lipgloss in Turkish Delight</a> is one of my favorites! Particularly because it's not sticky at all! This is a great pale pink color that looks great on most skintones. I definitely recommend it! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-g_jtmWybFDo/UfLgSxBy--I/AAAAAAAAAwY/mayar-NFWqA/s1600/PicMonkey+Collage5_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="361" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-g_jtmWybFDo/UfLgSxBy--I/AAAAAAAAAwY/mayar-NFWqA/s400/PicMonkey+Collage5_.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
These two are also way up high on my favourites list! The MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner in Petting Pink is great for everyday. It's just your typical pink color and has SPF 15! This is something I can wear any time, any where and it's not like I need a mirror to help apply it, as the color is sheer. It also smells great and is moisturizing!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2726822" target="_blank">Rose Salves are a great! I got this Blueberry scented one by CO Bigelow at Bath and Body Works</a>. This is a great multi-tasker and I love using it on my cuticles and my lips! The consistency is like Vaseline so it's greta to put on before bed. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Something I forgot to take a picture of is the<a href="http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4004124" target="_blank"> CO Bigelow My Favorite Lip Balm</a> which I think is great and moisturizing and smell delicious... until you leave it in the hot car. My turned really watery after leaving it in the car and I'm so sad! But I still use it sometimes cause it smells nice.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AeCJCqNACX8/UfLgSvAxgxI/AAAAAAAAAwU/Dd9VGenStSE/s1600/PicMonkey+Collage8_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="397" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AeCJCqNACX8/UfLgSvAxgxI/AAAAAAAAAwU/Dd9VGenStSE/s400/PicMonkey+Collage8_.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I also keep a mini <a href="http://www.sephora.com/shadow-insurance-P202625?skuId=1050616" target="_blank">Too Faced Shadow Insurance</a> and <a href="http://www.sephora.com/eyeshadow-primer-potion-tube-sin-P284717?skuId=1325554" target="_blank">Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin</a> here. I don't use them often anymore, I'm more just trying to use them up! They're really drying out as I've had them for a while. But I think they're both great primers and Sin is super pretty!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wkkdl4s0eBM/UfLgQZj16nI/AAAAAAAAAwI/bWD92HkT0sY/s1600/PicMonkey+Collage3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="248" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wkkdl4s0eBM/UfLgQZj16nI/AAAAAAAAAwI/bWD92HkT0sY/s400/PicMonkey+Collage3.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is one of those products that I don't think my collection would be complete without! <a href="http://www.sephora.com/eye-bright-P1278?skuId=108811" target="_blank">Benefit's Eye Bright</a> is a great multi-purpose product that I especially love using under my eyes! I'd definitely recommend it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9uYDbfs6mis/UfLgPml2QaI/AAAAAAAAAwA/dx8dLv-5MoE/s1600/PicMonkey+Collage4_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="248" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9uYDbfs6mis/UfLgPml2QaI/AAAAAAAAAwA/dx8dLv-5MoE/s400/PicMonkey+Collage4_.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I bought <a href="http://www.gosh.ie/item.php?id=27&cat=20&sub=32&category=Eyes" target="_blank">GOSH's Extreme Art Eye Liner</a> in 12 after I decided I wanted an eye liner that matched my school colors for events and pep rallies! Since it's currently summer I'm not using it much but it's a really great long-wearing liquid eye liner. I got mine on sale at Shopper's Drug Mart here in Canada, and it was great deal!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
What lip products are you using currently? Would you recommend it or not?</div>

This will be a bit different though...<br />
Usually a "shop my stash" is pulling things you don't normally use or used to love and trying to use them more often again. MY shop my stash is about this thing...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

this is an organizer I keep on my vanity and plop in the products that I'm using the most at the moment. I thought I could take each section and do blog posts about what's in each and what I think of them!<br />
In today's post we're going to the right to where I keep my face products<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MAx1e8chjiM/UdyxfcSVaiI/AAAAAAAAAso/aFA_dnnN6uU/s1600/DSCN3223.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MAx1e8chjiM/UdyxfcSVaiI/AAAAAAAAAso/aFA_dnnN6uU/s320/DSCN3223.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
The first products in here are my BB Creams! I'm not really one to use foundation. Mainly because I don't want it to break me out and I'm not one to fuss over coverage. Plus they provide a lot of different properties that are great for your skin!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JBQXpIG2gC0/UdyygE6td5I/AAAAAAAAAtA/Fz5KOolJkbs/s1600/DSCN3229.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JBQXpIG2gC0/UdyygE6td5I/AAAAAAAAAtA/Fz5KOolJkbs/s320/DSCN3229.JPG" width="240" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-f_n7xQ0m04s/UdyyfGGwwGI/AAAAAAAAAs4/q_UB1Vze5gA/s1600/DSCN3228.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-f_n7xQ0m04s/UdyyfGGwwGI/AAAAAAAAAs4/q_UB1Vze5gA/s320/DSCN3228.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The<a href="http://www.marcelle.com/fr/maquillage/visage/bb-creme/bb-creme" target="_blank"> Marcelle BB Cream</a>* is one of my favorites! It's a Canadian brand and you can buy this at Shoppers Drug Mart or Wal-Mart. I find that this one has great coverage for a BB Cream but it doesn't feel heavy at all! That's really all there is to say about it.... except the price. At Shopper Drug Mart it's around $24CAD and at Wal-Mart around $20CAD. Honestly? I will definitely repurchase this BB Cream, I just really love the way it works! There is also no SPF in it. It doesn't really concern me too much. And I do use a moisturizer with SPF in it after I wash my face. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">*this link is in french... my browser is Google Chrome and it offered to translate it for me.</span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The <a href="http://www.revlon.ca/Revlon-Home/Products/Face/Revlon-Photoready-BB-Cream/Revlon-PhotoReady-BBCreamSkinProtector.aspx" target="_blank">Revlon Photo Ready BB Cream</a> is great for the price. A plus to this is that it has SPF built in and I would not recommend this for oily skin. I think it may be the SPF in this product that makes my skin look pretty shiny. you may find this with most BB Creams anyways because they have a lot of moisture in them, but I don't find that the Marcelle one does this. Other then that I think this is a great option if you're looking for a BB Cream.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZfBRQmC8d0Y/Udy3r0uiW9I/AAAAAAAAAto/zROYc-xkuBg/s1600/PicMonkey+Collage15.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="215" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZfBRQmC8d0Y/Udy3r0uiW9I/AAAAAAAAAto/zROYc-xkuBg/s400/PicMonkey+Collage15.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The <a href="http://us.rimmellondon.com/products/face/stay-matte-pressed-powder" target="_blank">Rimmel Stay Matte Powder</a> has been a cult favorite for a while now. This is one of the first makeup products I ever used. I think this is a great choice if you haven't used this powder before. However, after using MAC's MSF Natural and the next product I'm going to tell you about, I've found that this powder can look a tad cakey. The problem may be that the powder isn't thin enough, it's not "finely milled". Maybe Rimmel figured that if they didn't thin it out it to make it better coverage? I think in order to REALLY enjoy this powder, one of the shades has to really match your skin tone. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://www.revlon.ca/Revlon-Home/Products/Face/Powder/Revlon-Nearly-Naked-Pressed-Powder.aspx" target="_blank">Revlon's Nearly Naked Powder</a> is a hit in my books! I find that it takes away shine without making me look too cakey. Plus it gives good coverage! What confuses me about this powder is that the color is labeled 020. It was the lightest shade on the shelf, there is no shade with a one. After checking the website this powder is the lightest shade available. The picture above is very accurate to the color of the powder in real life. My sister originally bought this powder, but it was too dark so she gave it to me and I fell in love. So obviously, if you're fair skinned, you're out of luck.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3DxFTuIgwjo/Udy71JGvVSI/AAAAAAAAAt4/PDBl0jQlZVE/s1600/PicMonkey+Collage6_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="397" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3DxFTuIgwjo/Udy71JGvVSI/AAAAAAAAAt4/PDBl0jQlZVE/s400/PicMonkey+Collage6_.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Benefits <a href="http://www.sephora.com/benetint-P1272?skuId=108779" target="_blank">Tints</a> and <a href="http://www.sephora.com/high-beam-P1281?skuId=108829" target="_blank">Beams</a> are one of my staples. These products are so universal I don't know how a collection is complete with at least one of these products! They're also great during school cause they're so quick to slap on and run out the door. Just a warning about these, when you're using the tints make sure to blend right after dabbing it on your cheeks because they sink in really fast. (It was impossible to photograph BeneTint in the first swatch photo). Also, do you see how beautiful that second swatch of high beam is! This is why I love it! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DqhdLOofY4U/Udy9xPeGgNI/AAAAAAAAAuE/g2XN2CPdRTM/s1600/PicMonkey+Collage12_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="301" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DqhdLOofY4U/Udy9xPeGgNI/AAAAAAAAAuE/g2XN2CPdRTM/s400/PicMonkey+Collage12_.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/shaded/157/10181/Products/Face/Concealer/Pro-Longwear-Concealer/index.tmpl" target="_blank">MAC ProLongwear Concealer</a> is another staple in my collection. This is my second purchase of it, and i will definitely purchase it again!It has great coverage without feeling heavy; it kinda just blends right in. The only thing I wouldn't recommend this for is under the eyes. I also hate the pump cause a little goes a super long way and it pumps out way too much.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://www.revlon.ca/Revlon-Home/Products/Face/Concealer/Revlon-PhotoReady-Concealer.aspx" target="_blank">Revlon PhotoReady Concealer</a> is something I haven't been using quite as long as the MAC but it is one that I'd definitely recommend. Unlike the MAC, it's great for under the eyes! It's super creamy and light and won't crease! I find that it also has a great, light coverage for acne and redness. The only complaint I have is that because of it's "PhotoReady" name, it has those little flecks of shimmer, which is noticeable if you look close enough. I also wouldn't recommend it if you're going for something long-wearing.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So that's what I'm currently using on my face! If you noticed, there was no blush in there. Mainly because I switch my cheeks up a lot. Plus if I keep it all together, I'm always going into the drawer, so I'm always using different ones!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
What ear your favorite face products right now?</div>

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KcF7xWLmn3Y/UdH4hR8pekI/AAAAAAAAAqo/DqKUmHjKN_U/s1600/124.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KcF7xWLmn3Y/UdH4hR8pekI/AAAAAAAAAqo/DqKUmHjKN_U/s320/124.JPG" width="239" /></a>It's been quite a while since I've done a blog post (or even posted a YouTube video) but I did want to share some new little bits - AKA reasons for not being around.<br />
In May I took a trip with my wonderful school band to Disney World! It was really a great time and I had tons of fun! In 5 days, we visited all 4 parks and Downtown Disney. We also had a great experience doing the Disney Preforming Arts Workshop and preformed in Epcot! It rained quite a bit but the last day was beautiful and sunny and perfect before we had to come back home the next day. I also ate Mickey shaped waffles every morning for breakfast cause why not?! We also saw the fireworks display at Cinderella's castle, FANTASMIC!, and La Nouba Cirque Du Soleil!<br />
(Speaking of Cirque Du Soleil I heard the incredibly sad news of the 16 ft fall.)<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dldD9lE8WDw/UdH4G2YLL2I/AAAAAAAAAqg/PAxPazHqS8o/s960/143.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dldD9lE8WDw/UdH4G2YLL2I/AAAAAAAAAqg/PAxPazHqS8o/s320/143.jpg" width="320" /></a>Obviously since it was only five days, I have been home for a while now. My lack of YouTube videos has partly to do with school and partly to do with overall laziness. Just last week, I finished grade 11 and my 2nd semester finals drove me a little crazy. It was project after pro<br />
ject. Exam after exam. Let's just say I've spent this past week off of school catching up with friends (because during exams all we do is worry) and enjoying my summer. I've also begun taking action with myself and have decided to try and do Just Sweat (a feature on Just Dance 3 for Wii) at least 3 times a week. Since I started high school I haven't exactly taken the best care of myself and it's something I think is important for me to do.<br />
As general laziness goes, I just haven't found the energy to get myself up and sit in front of a camera and talk about a bunch of beauty products. I find it difficult to even sit and watch a beauty video. I'm not sure if my interest level has gone down or if it's just the reality. I've found myself unsubscribing to a lot of people lately. I feel like we're all just talking about products we like and nothing really has any background to it. And frankly, it's not entertaining. I've found myself wanting to do more interesting things with my videos, I want them to be entertaining and educational.<br />
That being said, there is a lot of videos that'd I'd like to film and I am not stopping making them. But I think that they won't be consistent (not that they are anyways) because I want each of them to be unique. So I think I'll be taking a lot of the video I want to do and make them blog posts instead so that my youtube and my blog are up to date.<br />
There are many other things that have been taking up time in my life. I'm still trucking through my musical passions. Although everything seems to be dragging at the moment. I've also found myself on tumblr and writing fanfiction a lot. These are all things I like to keep separate from my videos but sometimes they can effect each other.<br />
Without further ado, here's the re-launch of my blog! I've decided to make this blog anything I want. Whether I want to tell you about a new product or an experience somewhere you're gonna hear about it here!<br />

I love fall; so I thought I'd share my fall favorites with you guys!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Dark Lips</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">For dark lips, I love using lip stains; my favorite is the Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain in Twilight</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cuhE2ZdtLqM/TpIZThXjLFI/AAAAAAAAANg/N__ttrnBCTc/s1600/lipstain.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><img border="0" height="50" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cuhE2ZdtLqM/TpIZThXjLFI/AAAAAAAAANg/N__ttrnBCTc/s400/lipstain.jpg" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I've never experienced any bleeding with it, and it comes with a handy lip balm on one end to keep your lips moisturized! I would recommend is to make sure your lips are nice and smooth before applying because it (or any stain) can easily sink into the lines/dryness of your lips. I like using the <a href="http://www.sephora.com/sugar-lip-polish-P274001?skuId=1297183" target="_blank">Fresh Sugar Lip Scrub</a>; it smells amazing! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Winged Liner</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">For winged liner I love the Almay Liquid Liner! It's cheap at the drugstore, plus it lasts but comes off easily at the end of the day. It has a felt tip that goes from thick to a nice thin point for any kind of line.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Pumpkin Spice Lattes! </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3rziM77Cbv8/UHIgJxMT6tI/AAAAAAAAAmU/Mr6IKOcxGhA/s1600/sbucks1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><img border="0" height="192" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3rziM77Cbv8/UHIgJxMT6tI/AAAAAAAAAmU/Mr6IKOcxGhA/s320/sbucks1.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I mean, really who doesn't love these?!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Sweaters</span><br />

My sister and I won tickets through Live Nation to Vans Warped Tour!<br />
We mainly just wanted to go to see We The Kings and, overall, the price of the tickets wouldn’t of been worth it if we paid full price.<br />
We got there around 10:30, because the doors were opening at 12, little did we know, they lied and the doors opened at 11. Annoying. But anyways, we picked up our tickets at the box office/will call. It took a while for them to find our tickets because we weresupposedto pick them up at the Guest List line.<br />
Anyways, we got our tickets, and found a super short line. Once we got into the venue we went to the inflatable with all the times and found the times for we the kings. Then we went to the merch table. The merch table had a few wristbands for signing so we bought merch and he just gave them to us. (even though we were supposed to answer some triva question) They were also giving out free wristbands at the American Rag tent, which is where they do the signing.<br />
We went to the Kia Soul stage right after, so we could be front row when WTK came on at 2:15. So we sat through some other bands. Then WTK came on; OMG seriously. It was so amazing! such a great set! Watch out for pictures that I\ll be posting. so afterwards - the set ended around 3:00 we waited around for 4:45, and it POURED! ABSOLUTELY POURED RAIN! We were up to our ankles in water, it was completely flooding to venue.<br />
So they forced everyone out of the venue, and into the ampatheatre. We went back to our car to see if we could wait out the rain. It eventually stopped and the show was back on, so we went to see if the signing was still happening and it was CANCELLED! I couldn’t believe it. and I wasn’t until we got home that charles andtravis tweeted to were coming out to take picture with people.<br />
Overall I’m so glad we got to see the show, but we’re still kinda upset we missed meeting them. But they should have a headlining tour soon, in which case we’ll get to meet them.Emily Hayshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14917799637499561428noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7029789066282071928.post-92126364165858433142012-07-12T18:46:00.001-07:002012-07-12T18:46:03.349-07:00Revlon Smokey Shadow Stick - Torch + Covergirl comparison<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--w43zqnZ3ik/T_95RftK8bI/AAAAAAAAAgs/jfHRy-8sTjY/s1600/DSCN2651.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--w43zqnZ3ik/T_95RftK8bI/AAAAAAAAAgs/jfHRy-8sTjY/s320/DSCN2651.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I recently picked up one of Revlon's new Smoky Shadow Sticks in the shade Torch.<br />
I was initially interested in this product because it seems so similar to Covergirl's Smokey Shadow Blast.<br />
Like covergirl, this has a lid side, and a crease side, with a rounded and tapered tip to help it be more easily applied. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4pR1UtPkRKw/T_95ZtiXiCI/AAAAAAAAAg0/ZZIFGvH8_HY/s1600/DSCN2652.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4pR1UtPkRKw/T_95ZtiXiCI/AAAAAAAAAg0/ZZIFGvH8_HY/s320/DSCN2652.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
The first side is a pretty light pink shade for the lid. I noticed after apply it to my eye that you have to build it up a lot for the pink to really show. Otherwise it just looks like shimmer. But if you decide to apply a shadow over top with a similar color, this as a base will really bump up the color!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7K1f_s7cJUs/T_95h5l1i1I/AAAAAAAAAg8/6gIxgRe8F4I/s1600/DSCN2653.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7K1f_s7cJUs/T_95h5l1i1I/AAAAAAAAAg8/6gIxgRe8F4I/s320/DSCN2653.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
The second side is a pretty medium brown for the crease. Again, I felt that I needed to apply a bit more than usual to help the color really show up a bit more. <br />
<br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-apwn9appdZ8/T_98hQ18OcI/AAAAAAAAAhk/_pqrkdto4dY/s1600/Revlon+vs.+Covergirl.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="178" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-apwn9appdZ8/T_98hQ18OcI/AAAAAAAAAhk/_pqrkdto4dY/s400/Revlon+vs.+Covergirl.jpg" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Revlon Smoky Shadow Stick - Torch (left), Covergirl Smoky Shadow Blast - Bronze Fire (right)</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
As you can see, when comparing the Revlon vs. Covergirl, the Covergirl comes out a lot more pigmented. But the reason I'm going to tell you pass the Covergirl and buy the Revlon is because the Covergirl creases like CRAZY, where wearing the Revlon on it's own - while it can crease a bit - is completely fine and I completely agree with it's colorstay name!<br />
But if you do decide to build up the Revlon and not top it off with shadow, I would recommend to put a primer underneath, just in case!<br />
<br />
Have you tried this new product? What did you think of it?<br />

If you've seen my newest haul, you would know that I recently bought some new flats! ...ok not that exciting, but I also bought another little something called heel grips! ...which don't sound that exciting either. But seriously heel grips are my best friend! </div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
I love heel grips for flats or heels with harsh backs. Because we all know how painful it is when they cut into the back of your heel! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-j_YYGUFRVkc/T526_VwYPBI/AAAAAAAAATc/fA4UMbSG6ts/s1600/payless.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="112" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-j_YYGUFRVkc/T526_VwYPBI/AAAAAAAAATc/fA4UMbSG6ts/s400/payless.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> The heel grips from Payless are only $3! Which is awesome especially if your always buying them. I've also gotten these at ALDO, which are $5. I'm not quite sure which ones I like more, but the ones at ALDO seem smoother, were they Payless ones have more of a grip. So the Payless ones are probably better if you want it as an insole to make them fit better if their not fitting correctly. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Overall I find heel grips can make a shoe a lot more comfortable. </span><br />
<div style="font-family: inherit;">
How do you make your shoes more comfortable?</div>

Hey guys!<br />
So the other day this youth motivational speaker, Brooks Gibbs, came to my school and talked about bullying. In the past few weeks there have been 5 suicides, because of bullying. People around North America have been fighting and spreading the word about bullying and standing together to help prevent this. </div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zlpVcCWfueo/T5ioFqMC62I/AAAAAAAAAS4/ULDtvx2sQEk/s1600/51WsSaEZXzL._SL500_AA300_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zlpVcCWfueo/T5ioFqMC62I/AAAAAAAAAS4/ULDtvx2sQEk/s1600/51WsSaEZXzL._SL500_AA300_.jpg" /></a></div>
Brook Gibbs, mainly talked about Love being Greater than Hate which is based off his book <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Love-Is-Greater-Than-Hate/dp/0615355706">Love>Hate</a>, and "The Golden Rule." Which is simply; Treat others how you wish to be treated. If we all lived by this we wouldn't have war, we wouldn't have bullying, we wouldn't even need a government, because everyone would just be nice people and respect everyone. </div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Being bullied, is feeling that you have no purpose, and feeling left out and that no one cares. But, this is exactly how the person being bullied feels. So you have to stay calm and kind. </div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
This is the things he spoke about. If you want to know more <i>or</i> if your school may be having a bullying problem you can go to his website and you can also book him to speak at your school. </div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
He really was amazing, most bullying assemblies are super boring but he was funny and really engaged with all of us. </div>
<a href="http://www.brooksgibbs.com/">http://www.brooksgibbs.com/</a><br />
As always, thanks for visiting my blog, and don't forget to stand (up) together!<br />

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tMZSjUT1xk8/T4HBi-c1_aI/AAAAAAAAASk/AIAbdBJXPq0/s1600/exposed.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tMZSjUT1xk8/T4HBi-c1_aI/AAAAAAAAASk/AIAbdBJXPq0/s400/exposed.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
For Easter this year, I was delighted to find this beautiful blush waiting for me when I woke up. </div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
I've been wanting to try these tarte blushes for a while, since everyone has been raving about them so much. I finally jumped on the band wagon. So far it was a little tricky to swatch it, which I'm sure was just because it's brand new; sometimes you have to get passed that finished layer. So I swatched it again in the same spot and color looked a lot better.</div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
I was very interested in this color; it's a little mauve, kind of brownish pink. I think it would look great on ANY skin tone. (and I'm pretty pale) </div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
I was also excited about this because lately I've found that really pink blushes have been washing me out. Therefore, I've been moving to more brown-toned blushes that bring some color back into my face. </div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
As for the packaging, I also really like it. I like things to have a clear top so I can see what color it is, but in this case, the packaging itself is pretty much the same color as the blush; so I shouldn't complain. It's also pretty thin, not to bulky which is great for travel. But if you are going to travel with this I recommend put a kleenex or something in between the powder and mirror; because the mirror seem like it could easily crack (even though the outside packaging seems to be sturdy) and you don't want bits of glass in the product.</div>
<div style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
I have yet to try out the wear of this blush, but with all the hype and positive things I've seen so far, I think it'll work out great.<br />
On a side note, my youtube viewers may be happy to know I am one step closer to a much requested room tour with a pink rug!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pTns0vhtIlU/T2-oj0uue6I/AAAAAAAAASU/M-lqL2HTld0/s1600/000.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="131" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pTns0vhtIlU/T2-oj0uue6I/AAAAAAAAASU/M-lqL2HTld0/s400/000.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
I first heard about this palette from emilynoel83 when she talked about the nude palette.</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
This first intrigued me because of the packaging... cute huh? But I also love how small it was, prefect fir travel or to throw into your makeup bag. Which I find is why I don't like the naked palette; because it's so long. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PX_J6KXiHxc/T2-puoJXAwI/AAAAAAAAASc/O1J4mLd0Xks/s1600/0000.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="353" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PX_J6KXiHxc/T2-puoJXAwI/AAAAAAAAASc/O1J4mLd0Xks/s400/0000.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">As for pigmentation I think it's great! The palette is also split up into trios and the thinner stripes are the "liner". But really you can do anything you want with these shadows. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Have you ever tried Shimmer Strips?</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I thought I wold talk about what I've been reading:<u> Pandemonium</u> by <i>Lauren Oliver</i></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">This book is the sequel to <u>Delirium</u> and the second book in a trilogy. </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vB7_VK8EJFU/T2Ki2QPDuEI/AAAAAAAAASI/Hkz6qqtY_j0/s1600/tumblr_lo6vxmiMDb1qb0j8no1_500.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="241" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vB7_VK8EJFU/T2Ki2QPDuEI/AAAAAAAAASI/Hkz6qqtY_j0/s320/tumblr_lo6vxmiMDb1qb0j8no1_500.png" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">This series is set in the future where love is a contagious disease. In the series you follow Lena who, in the first book, is about to turn 18 and get the 'procedure' which is these people taking out part of your brain (is my impression) that feels passion. <br />
I think for every reader this is different, but it's what I've inferred. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">That's all I'm gonna say cause I don't want to spoil it. But I love this series! And the last book comes out in March 2013, and there is also a short story out called <u>Hanna</u> who is Lena's best friend. I have yet to read that, but I am quite excited to. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><i>Lauren Oliver</i>'s first book is called <u>Before I Fall<i> </i></u>which is definitely a teen book (so is this series due to swearing but she also has a children's book that she co-wrote) but I highly recommend it!</span><br />
<div style="font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://laurenoliverbooks.blogspot.com/">Lauren also has a blog! </a>and <a href="https://twitter.com/#%21/OliverBooks">Twitter!</a><br />

But I've been getting highlights for about 2 years. I recently decided I was going to do something I've wanted to do for a really long time; donate my hair to locks of love (<a href="http://locksoflove.org/">locksoflove.org</a></span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">). Like I mentioned I've been wanting to do this since I was little, and if you watch SHAYTARDS you'll know Brallie and PrincessTard recently cut and donated their hair, this kinda of got me into actually going through with it; which I <i>will</i> this time. Something else that's inspried me; a </span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">few years ago my cousin got <span style="background-color: white; font-size: 11px; line-height: 14px; text-align: left;"> </span>Non-Hodkins Lymphoma, she unfortunetly lost her battle in 2009. I remember her being upset when her hair started falling out, and thought what if I could give a girl her hair back? So that's what I'm going to do!</span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">To grow out my hair, would mean growing out my highlights, so to make it look more normal I decided to die it back to my natural color. I used . Garnier Nutrisse Creme in Meduim Natural Brown. I actually really like this hair color because I didn't leave my hair really dry. It comes with a deep conditioner, and may I remind everyone to use a lot! If it comes with a lot you use it! My mom and I were concerned that their wouldn't be enough hair color for my hair. Because even though it's thin I have a lot of it! But there was enough... and extra. So don't worry if you don't think there will be enough. </span><br />
