MY FAVORITE INVENTION!

If you've seen my newest haul, you would know that I recently bought some new flats! ...ok not that exciting, but I also bought another little something called heel grips! ...which don't sound that exciting either. But seriously heel grips are my best friend!
I love heel grips for flats or heels with harsh backs. Because we all know how painful it is when they cut into the back of your heel!
The heel grips from Payless are only $3! Which is awesome especially if your always buying them. I've also gotten these at ALDO, which are $5. I'm not quite sure which ones I like more, but the ones at ALDO seem smoother, were they Payless ones have more of a grip. So the Payless ones are probably better if you want it as an insole to make them fit better if their not fitting correctly.
Overall I find heel grips can make a shoe a lot more comfortable.
How do you make your shoes more comfortable?

Shake it off, stomp it down.

Hey guys!
So the other day this youth motivational speaker, Brooks Gibbs, came to my school and talked about bullying. In the past few weeks there have been 5 suicides, because of bullying. People around North America have been fighting and spreading the word about bullying and standing together to help prevent this.
Brook Gibbs, mainly talked about Love being Greater than Hate which is based off his book Love>Hate, and "The Golden Rule." Which is simply; Treat others how you wish to be treated. If we all lived by this we wouldn't have war, we wouldn't have bullying, we wouldn't even need a government, because everyone would just be nice people and respect everyone.
Being bullied, is feeling that you have no purpose, and feeling left out and that no one cares. But, this is exactly how the person being bullied feels. So you have to stay calm and kind.
This is the things he spoke about. If you want to know more or if your school may be having a bullying problem you can go to his website and you can also book him to speak at your school.
He really was amazing, most bullying assemblies are super boring but he was funny and really engaged with all of us.

As always, thanks for visiting my blog, and don't forget to stand (up) together!

Tarte 24 hour Amazonian Clay Blush - Exposed

For Easter this year, I was delighted to find this beautiful blush waiting for me when I woke up.
I've been wanting to try these tarte blushes for a while, since everyone has been raving about them so much. I finally jumped on the band wagon. So far it was a little tricky to swatch it, which I'm sure was just because it's brand new; sometimes you have to get passed that finished layer. So I swatched it again in the same spot and color looked a lot better.
I was very interested in this color; it's a little mauve, kind of brownish pink. I think it would look great on ANY skin tone. (and I'm pretty pale)
I was also excited about this because lately I've found that really pink blushes have been washing me out. Therefore, I've been moving to more brown-toned blushes that bring some color back into my face.
As for the packaging, I also really like it. I like things to have a clear top so I can see what color it is, but in this case, the packaging itself is pretty much the same color as the blush; so I shouldn't complain. It's also pretty thin, not to bulky which is great for travel. But if you are going to travel with this I recommend put a kleenex or something in between the powder and mirror; because the mirror seem like it could easily crack (even though the outside packaging seems to be sturdy) and you don't want bits of glass in the product.
I have yet to try out the wear of this blush, but with all the hype and positive things I've seen so far, I think it'll work out great.
On a side note, my youtube viewers may be happy to know I am one step closer to a much requested room tour with a pink rug!

Happy Easter!

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips - Nude

I first heard about this palette from emilynoel83 when she talked about the nude palette.
This first intrigued me because of the packaging... cute huh? But I also love how small it was, prefect fir travel or to throw into your makeup bag. Which I find is why I don't like the naked palette; because it's so long.
As for pigmentation I think it's great! The palette is also split up into trios and the thinner stripes are the "liner". But really you can do anything you want with these shadows.
Have you ever tried Shimmer Strips?

What have I been reading?

I haven't posted in a while, but I guess that's normal now :)
I thought I wold talk about what I've been reading: Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver
This book is the sequel to Delirium and the second book in a trilogy.
This series is set in the future where love is a contagious disease. In the series you follow Lena who, in the first book, is about to turn 18 and get the 'procedure' which is these people taking out part of your brain (is my impression) that feels passion.
I think for every reader this is different, but it's what I've inferred.

That's all I'm gonna say cause I don't want to spoil it. But I love this series! And the last book comes out in March 2013, and there is also a short story out called Hanna who is Lena's best friend. I have yet to read that, but I am quite excited to.
Lauren Oliver's first book is called Before I Fall  which is definitely a teen book (so is this series due to swearing but she also has a children's book that she co-wrote) but I highly recommend it!
Lauren also has a blog! and Twitter!
What's your current book?
