Nail Of The Day -- Butter London: Rosie Lee

Hey guys! So for Christmas my wonderful sister Rachel got me my first Butter London nail polish! So of course I painted my nails right away.
This color is perfect for me! Espcially because it's glitter, and I love glitter polishes!
It has redish purpley glitter with pink glitter - that is seriously the only way I could describe it.
It has a clear base, so light pink or even black would look great underneath!
I took pictures in natural and artificial lighting so your could see it in both. But honestly, neither of these lighting choices do the color justice. both of these lighting's made it look light, where in real life it's about as dark as it looks in the bottle.
The first coat is a bit sheer, but once you get the second coat on the color looks a lot more opaque - which is the case for many glitter polishes with clear bases.

Anyways, that's my nail of the day!

My Chirstmas Wishlist!

Christmas is coming! ...says all the Christmas concert I've been playing at lately :P So today I'm going to share my Christmas Wishlist with ya'll!
1. The Hunger Games Trilogy
As usual my friend Nicole got me into this series (like Vampire Diaries) and I'm obsessed! I originally borrowed the books from Nicole, but now I want to re-read it! And I have to have this collection on my bookshelf :)
2. Benefit's Tints
A.K.A. Benetint, PoiseTint and ChaChaTint.
I absolutely love these! I love the texture, and color. But my problem is that I don't own any of them. One that I do own in High Beam and I love that one too!
3. Hot Chelle Rae Concert Tickets
okay guys, I cheated with this one, because I already got them! Let's just talk about Nicole for a minute. My lovely friend Nicole got me these tickets today and let's just say my reaction was priceless. Thanks Nicole! <3
4. Pink SugarPlum -- Bath and Body Works
B&BW has a new holiday scent called Pink Sugarplum and it's smells amazing!!! I know I have so many Triple moisture body creme's but I can't help it, their amazing!
5. Sweaters!
I recently feel in love with pull over sweaters. I don't really know why but I love them!! Good places to find them are American Eagle and Aeropostal. TNA makes nice ones too. Plus they're great for the cold winter ahead!
That makes the big things I would like on this years wish list! Let me know what you asked for!
Happy Holidays!!!

For the Band Geek in you... or someone else

Hello Bloggers, I haven't posted in over a month... CRAZY! But if it makes you feel better I havent posted very often on YouTube either. Which, speaking of YouTube recently changed; a lot of people are complaining, but I personally like it. Anyways the reason for my posting...
I recently watched Elle Fowler's newest video where she talked about etsy.com I have no idea if she was sponsored or not... but this site is amazing. Embracing the band geek in me, I immediatly clicked on the music category and found an amazing instrument themed seller.
Before I go on, something I don't talk about much is how much of a band geek I am. I play in 4 bands at my high school with my trumpet - aka the love of my life ;) - and it's honestly one of the only reasons I love high school so much. (I'll insert of picture of me and my baby below)

I would post me with my section but I'm not about to put their faces on the internet without their permission :)
Anyways this instrument awesome-ness on etsy is called Horn & Castle Musician Gifts. And let me tell you, as a musician myself, any musician would love these gifts. They have custom buttons, notebooks, and luggage tags to fit any instrument! it's awesome!

I plan on doing a gift guide about just books on my YouTube channel soon, so stay tuned!

and Happy Holidays!

Spider Web Makeup -- Halloween

So last Halloween when I was playing with makeup I made a spider web on the side of my face. Which wasn't very good, since it was only done with a pencil liner. This is year I did it with a gel liner and added a few details like glitter a spider, and grey shadowing. I also filmed it and put it up on my YouTube channel if you would like to see the making of it. Below, are pictures of what I did last year, and this year. I've also put the tutorial below in case you would like to watch it.

Black Sawn-- Halloween

Hey guys! I recently uploaded a Black Swan Makeup Tutorial that was requested for Halloween. The original makeup in the movie, is very complicated and has a lot of detail, and a non-professional makeup artist can not perfect that. There's not a time (and patients I'm sure) to do that. So I came up with a simplified  version that is definitely not as complicated.
Below, I've provided pictures, and the tutorial via YouTube. Enjoy!

Face of the Day -- Sept. 17/11

Hey bloggers! Today I have a face of the day, which is mainly an eyes of the day... but whatever :P
For eyes I went with a subtle smokey eye. I just used a thinck line of brown eyeliner and blended/smudged it upward onto the lid.
Then, I used MAC's White Frost eyeshadow in the inner coner. And Revlon's Vintage Lace eyeshadow under my brow bone.
For Mascara; Cover Girl Lash Blast Fusion (Blackest Black)
For Face I used MAC Pro Long-wear Concealer and MAC Minerlize skinfinsh to top it off. For blush; a limited edition MAC minerlize blush in Miss Behave.
And finally, for lips, I used NARS Lip gloss in Turkish Delight.
Don't forget to follow!

OMG: Vampire Diaries!

Hey everyone! If you read my blog post: Emily's Obsessions! Then you know my bestie Nicole, got me hooked on Vampire Diaries this  (almost over *sad face*) summer, by making me watch the first season. Well I loved it, and tomorrow (August 30th) Season 2 comes out on DVD! yay!
Oh yeah, and Season 3 of Vampire Diaries starts (here in Canada)  September 15!
In honor of this amazing series, I thought I'd recap my favorite moments of season 1, and tell you what I'm most excited about for Season 2.
For everyone who is already a Vampire Diaries fan you get to sit back, re-live some season 1 moments, and not tell me what happens! Thanks! :)
I get really into movies, tv shows (yes, even reality who watches bachelor pad?!), etc. and I was literally standing on the couch at times.
First of all I was really mad about Jeremy and doing drugs (dont do drugs people! they dont help anything!) and when he starting dating Vicki, I was sick. Seriously? Oh! and when Vicki was officially a vampire and tried to attack everyone! oooohhhhh I was mad. I never liked Vicki.
Omigosh! how about when we learned Bonnie was a Witch! and they tired to open the tomb but didnt close it and Catherine wasn't even in there! WTH?!
And I couldn't believe it when Alaric's wife was turned into a vampire by Damon, and really she's Elena's mother who is a descendant from Catherine. right?
Who remeber's when we found out Sefan was was the won who saved Elena the day of the crash the killed her "parents"? But she didn't know it was because she looked like Catherine... but they got all that figured out so it was no big deal.
Then what the heck?! yeah, John Gilbert is Elena's dad! I think I literally flipped out when I found out. Everything is just secretly connected in this show (so I should of saw it coming).
Then, BAM! Elena kisses Damon and her aunt catches her and asks her to come inside and I was like what?! no! Elena belongs with Sefan! then I let out a huge breath when we found out it wasn't Elena it was Catherine and she kills John Gilbert by chopping off his fingers. Yup you hear me. But Emily how did Catherine get into the house? Elena's stupid aunt invited her in!
For what I'm excited about? Catherine going down! :D

So after that I'm sure you can now see why I'm so excited to watch season 2.
See you next time!

Favorite Hair Products!

I haven't done a post like this in a while... it's kinda been all polyvore sets. oops :)
By the way, if you want to follow me on polyvore you can click here!
So today's post is all about my favorite hair products... let's get to it!
*Everything mentioned you can buy at the drugstore!
Got2B Dazzling Shine Spray
I love this product, for making my dull hair shine!
I like spraying this product onto my hair brush, then putting through my hair. Mostly because I have better control on how much product I'm using then my hair won't end up greasy and not shiny.
Sometime I just spray onto my fingers and use it that way.
If your looking for a product that reduces frizz... this isn't it. It also isn't a de-tangler because using it like that will make you hair look very greasy.
Product Rating: 3.8/5 stars

Moroccan Oil

I love moroccan oil. It makes my hair super soft and shiny... without being greasy.
Enough Said.
Although this stuff is expensive I think it's completely worth every penny. And you can use it on wet or dry hair.
To apply pour a tiny amount onto your fingers and fluff through your hair- easy!
Product Rating: 5/5 stars

Salon La Coupe Curl Contouring Cream
I use this product after a shower, and I want to wear it natural.
To apply, I squirt it onto my fingers, flip my damp hair upside down, and scrunch.
Then I can go to bed, or wear it for the rest of the day. As it dries it will shape my natural curl a bit to help keep the frizz down and sculpt the natural curls.
Product Rating: 4.5/5 stars

Organix Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum
I recently discovered this product and I'm so impressed.
My ends cause the most trouble with my hair because their against heat most of the time. It's safe to say; I'm really hard on my hair.
This product not only has made my hair feel better, but I'm pretty sure it's been mending my broken and spilt ends.
I just use 1 pump on my fingers and rub it through my ends while it's damp.
Product Rating: 4.9/5

Thanks for checking out my blog!
