It's Fall! ~ my favorites

It's fall time! I love fall; so I thought I'd share my fall favorites with you guys!

Dark Lips
For dark lips, I love using lip stains; my favorite is the Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain in Twilight

I've never experienced any bleeding with it, and it comes with a handy lip balm on one end to keep your lips moisturized! I would recommend is to make sure your lips are nice and smooth before applying because it (or any stain) can easily sink into the lines/dryness of your lips. I like using the Fresh Sugar Lip Scrub; it smells amazing!

Winged Liner
For winged liner I love the Almay Liquid Liner! It's cheap at the drugstore, plus it lasts but comes off easily at the end of the day. It has a felt tip that goes from thick to a nice thin point for any kind of line.

Pumpkin Spice Lattes!
I mean, really who doesn't love these?!

Sweaters
Seriously though, I love fall because of sweaters! Hoddies, cardigans, pull overs, jumpers, everything!

The first two are by American Eagle, and the last you can find at Aritzia (I have 4)!

Halloween
Who doesn't love halloween! My favorite part is the halloween movies on Disney Channel! Especially Halloweentown and Twitches :)

What's you favorite thing about Fall?

My Vans Warped Tour Experience

After a whole bit of going/not going. My sister and I won tickets through Live Nation to Vans Warped Tour!
We mainly just wanted to go to see We The Kings and, overall, the price of the tickets wouldn’t of been worth it if we paid full price.
We got there around 10:30, because the doors were opening at 12, little did we know, they lied and the doors opened at 11. Annoying. But anyways, we picked up our tickets at the box office/will call. It took a while for them to find our tickets because we weresupposedto pick them up at the Guest List line.
Anyways, we got our tickets, and found a super short line. Once we got into the venue we went to the inflatable with all the times and found the times for we the kings. Then we went to the merch table. The merch table had a few wristbands for signing so we bought merch and he just gave them to us. (even though we were supposed to answer some triva question) They were also giving out free wristbands at the American Rag tent, which is where they do the signing.
We went to the Kia Soul stage right after, so we could be front row when WTK came on at 2:15. So we sat through some other bands. Then WTK came on; OMG seriously. It was so amazing! such a great set! Watch out for pictures that I\ll be posting. so afterwards - the set ended around 3:00 we waited around for 4:45, and it POURED! ABSOLUTELY POURED RAIN! We were up to our ankles in water, it was completely flooding to venue.
So they forced everyone out of the venue, and into the ampatheatre. We went back to our car to see if we could wait out the rain. It eventually stopped and the show was back on, so we went to see if the signing was still happening and it was CANCELLED! I couldn’t believe it. and I wasn’t until we got home that charles andtravis tweeted to were coming out to take picture with people.
Overall I’m so glad we got to see the show, but we’re still kinda upset we missed meeting them. But they should have a headlining tour soon, in which case we’ll get to meet them.

Revlon Smokey Shadow Stick - Torch + Covergirl comparison

I recently picked up one of Revlon's new Smoky Shadow Sticks in the shade Torch.
I was initially interested in this product because it seems so similar to Covergirl's Smokey Shadow Blast.
Like covergirl, this has a lid side, and a crease side, with a rounded and tapered tip to help it be more easily applied.
The first side is a pretty light pink shade for the lid. I noticed after apply it to my eye that you have to build it up a lot for the pink to really show. Otherwise it just looks like shimmer. But if you decide to apply a shadow over top with a similar color, this as a base will really bump up the color!
The second side is a pretty medium brown for the crease. Again, I felt that I needed to apply a bit more than usual to help the color really show up a bit more.

Revlon Smoky Shadow Stick - Torch (left), Covergirl Smoky Shadow Blast - Bronze Fire (right)
As you can see, when comparing the Revlon vs. Covergirl, the Covergirl comes out a lot more pigmented. But the reason I'm going to tell you pass the Covergirl and buy the Revlon is because the Covergirl creases like CRAZY, where wearing the Revlon on it's own - while it can crease a bit - is completely fine and I completely agree with it's colorstay name!
But if you do decide to build up the Revlon and not top it off with shadow, I would recommend to put a primer underneath, just in case!

Have you tried this new product? What did you think of it?

MY FAVORITE INVENTION!

If you've seen my newest haul, you would know that I recently bought some new flats! ...ok not that exciting, but I also bought another little something called heel grips! ...which don't sound that exciting either. But seriously heel grips are my best friend!
I love heel grips for flats or heels with harsh backs. Because we all know how painful it is when they cut into the back of your heel!
The heel grips from Payless are only $3! Which is awesome especially if your always buying them. I've also gotten these at ALDO, which are $5. I'm not quite sure which ones I like more, but the ones at ALDO seem smoother, were they Payless ones have more of a grip. So the Payless ones are probably better if you want it as an insole to make them fit better if their not fitting correctly.
Overall I find heel grips can make a shoe a lot more comfortable.
How do you make your shoes more comfortable?

Shake it off, stomp it down.

Hey guys!
So the other day this youth motivational speaker, Brooks Gibbs, came to my school and talked about bullying. In the past few weeks there have been 5 suicides, because of bullying. People around North America have been fighting and spreading the word about bullying and standing together to help prevent this.
Brook Gibbs, mainly talked about Love being Greater than Hate which is based off his book Love>Hate, and "The Golden Rule." Which is simply; Treat others how you wish to be treated. If we all lived by this we wouldn't have war, we wouldn't have bullying, we wouldn't even need a government, because everyone would just be nice people and respect everyone.
Being bullied, is feeling that you have no purpose, and feeling left out and that no one cares. But, this is exactly how the person being bullied feels. So you have to stay calm and kind.
This is the things he spoke about. If you want to know more or if your school may be having a bullying problem you can go to his website and you can also book him to speak at your school.
He really was amazing, most bullying assemblies are super boring but he was funny and really engaged with all of us.

As always, thanks for visiting my blog, and don't forget to stand (up) together!

Tarte 24 hour Amazonian Clay Blush - Exposed

For Easter this year, I was delighted to find this beautiful blush waiting for me when I woke up.
I've been wanting to try these tarte blushes for a while, since everyone has been raving about them so much. I finally jumped on the band wagon. So far it was a little tricky to swatch it, which I'm sure was just because it's brand new; sometimes you have to get passed that finished layer. So I swatched it again in the same spot and color looked a lot better.
I was very interested in this color; it's a little mauve, kind of brownish pink. I think it would look great on ANY skin tone. (and I'm pretty pale)
I was also excited about this because lately I've found that really pink blushes have been washing me out. Therefore, I've been moving to more brown-toned blushes that bring some color back into my face.
As for the packaging, I also really like it. I like things to have a clear top so I can see what color it is, but in this case, the packaging itself is pretty much the same color as the blush; so I shouldn't complain. It's also pretty thin, not to bulky which is great for travel. But if you are going to travel with this I recommend put a kleenex or something in between the powder and mirror; because the mirror seem like it could easily crack (even though the outside packaging seems to be sturdy) and you don't want bits of glass in the product.
I have yet to try out the wear of this blush, but with all the hype and positive things I've seen so far, I think it'll work out great.
On a side note, my youtube viewers may be happy to know I am one step closer to a much requested room tour with a pink rug!

Happy Easter!

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips - Nude

I first heard about this palette from emilynoel83 when she talked about the nude palette.
This first intrigued me because of the packaging... cute huh? But I also love how small it was, prefect fir travel or to throw into your makeup bag. Which I find is why I don't like the naked palette; because it's so long.
As for pigmentation I think it's great! The palette is also split up into trios and the thinner stripes are the "liner". But really you can do anything you want with these shadows.
Have you ever tried Shimmer Strips?

What have I been reading?

I haven't posted in a while, but I guess that's normal now :)
I thought I wold talk about what I've been reading: Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver
This book is the sequel to Delirium and the second book in a trilogy.
This series is set in the future where love is a contagious disease. In the series you follow Lena who, in the first book, is about to turn 18 and get the 'procedure' which is these people taking out part of your brain (is my impression) that feels passion.
I think for every reader this is different, but it's what I've inferred.

That's all I'm gonna say cause I don't want to spoil it. But I love this series! And the last book comes out in March 2013, and there is also a short story out called Hanna who is Lena's best friend. I have yet to read that, but I am quite excited to.
Lauren Oliver's first book is called Before I Fall  which is definitely a teen book (so is this series due to swearing but she also has a children's book that she co-wrote) but I highly recommend it!
Lauren also has a blog! and Twitter!
What's your current book?

Emily's New Hair!

As some may know, my natural hair isn't what you see, it's actually a dark brown. But I've been getting highlights for about 2 years. I recently decided I was going to do something I've wanted to do for a really long time; donate my hair to locks of love (locksoflove.org). Like I mentioned I've been wanting to do this since I was little, and if you watch SHAYTARDS you'll know Brallie and PrincessTard recently cut and donated their hair, this kinda of got me into actually going through with it; which I will this time. Something else that's inspried me; a few years ago my cousin got  Non-Hodkins Lymphoma, she unfortunetly lost her battle in 2009. I remember her being upset when her hair started falling out, and thought what if I could give a girl her hair back? So that's what I'm going to do!

To grow out my hair, would mean growing out my highlights, so to make it look more normal I decided to die it back to my natural color. I used . Garnier Nutrisse Creme in Meduim Natural Brown. I actually really like this hair color because I didn't leave my hair really dry. It comes with a deep conditioner, and may I remind everyone to use a lot! If it comes with a lot you use it! My mom and I were concerned that their wouldn't be enough hair color for my hair. Because even though it's thin I have a lot of it! But there was enough... and extra. So don't worry if you don't think there will be enough.
Have you ever donated your hair?

Disney Rings!

So I was just making a new set on one of my obsession sites... polyvore. (follow me! ;D )  Which, like youtube, is very hard on my will power and wallet. I always see thing I love and then find out they're like over 9000! not really, but still some stuff out there is expensive!
Anyways I was looking rings and this one from asos.com totally caught my eye.
1. because it was one of those double-ring thingies where it goes on two fingers and
2. it said believe.
which is the best word ever.
then once I looked closer there's this little tinkerbell peeking out.
Me, being me, I thought OMG that is the cutest thing I NEED IT! butttt..... it's like $50 which considering that it's gold isn't that bad. but still that's a lot of dough!
Isn't it beautiful! Plus I've loved Tinkerbell since I can remember. <3
Anyways,
What's on your wishlist at the moment?

HUNGER GAMES NAIL POLISH!?

...let's just say I'm a person who gets sucked in fast. Twilight, Silly Bands, Vampire Diaries, and back in the day; Build-a-Bears. and of course now it's the Hunger Games.
I recently heard China Glaze was coming out with a hunger games nail polish collection so, I did some research.
...and found that no one really knows when this is coming out. So if you do; let me know!
The promotional photo shows Effie Trinket rocking the Capitol look. and here lashes?! those are the Deer & Butterfly Lashes by PAPERSELF. You can buy them at Sephora.

Sooooo, these are the colours!!! It's been rumored that each polish is for a different district. I'm not sure if this is true, but it could be. Me being me, I love all the glitters, but my favorite is Electrify.
I'm not sure if I'll actually get anything from this collection. Since - living in Canada -I'd have to order offline. But I would really like to get one.
What's your favorite? and What do you think of the collection? Could they have done better?

and may the odds be ever in your favour. I have a feeling these will be hard to get your hands on.

Bath and Body Works Haul!

Hey guys! The other day I went to Bath and Body Works and I was a total bargain hunter! There were so many sales because the holidays are coming to an end; which sucks except that we get great deals out of it.
Cooling Mist - Sweet Pea
This was originally like $12 but it was 90% off! CRAZY! after that it was $1.20!

Foaming Soap - Pink Sugarplum
This scent has unfortunately been discontinued until next winter :( And I LOVE it! So I managed to get a soap, which was literally the only thing left in the scent! And I'm pretty sure this was 50% off.

Fragrance Oil - Marshmallow Fireside
Last but not least I got a new oil for my scent bug! This smells exactly like roasting marshmallows, so I had to get it because I love marshmallows!

Happy New Year!
